Project with children from Portal Mãe Mirra is recognized by the International Astronomical Union.
The project “Celebrating well-being using astronomy – Caring for the Body, the Earth and Planet Earth” was submitted in 2024 to the OAD’s annual call for proposals, which uses astronomy as a tool to promote sustainable development. It was evaluated by a panel of international experts appointed by the IAU, who approved its inclusion in the OAD’s List of Recommended Projects.
