We have some exciting news: the 3-day Cleansing Retreat, also known as the Detox Retreat.
This format was designed for those who currently do not have time for a longer retreat or who still feel some insecurity about this experience. For three days, the person remains in silence and receives only juice-based food, gradually approaching the process of recollection and purification.
In Yoga, abhyāsa and vairāgya They are like the two wings of a bird: constant practice and detachment.
Abhyāsa is the continuous effort of walking one's own path. We can study, listen to teachings, and receive guidance, but no one can practice for us. Only our own effort, sustained with constancy, can produce real transformation and lead us to sublimation and liberation from suffering.
Vairāgya is detachment from what we experience, possess, or desire to achieve. It doesn't mean abandoning life, but ceasing to depend on things, circumstances, and outcomes to sustain our identity and balance. Practicing detachment means acting with dedication, without making what we obtain the measure of our worth or our fulfillment.
Life's vicissitudes are part of it. Problems, changes, and duality will continue to exist. What transforms us is how we navigate these experiences.
Everything that belongs to the material plane is subject to impermanence. Bodies age, houses deteriorate, papers can burn, and vehicles break down. We can take care of the comfort and safety of our families, but we also need to dedicate ourselves to the improvement of our own being.
Knowledge incorporated into life remains an example. It's not enough to ask someone not to shout if we ourselves shout. It's necessary to adopt the posture we wish to transmit. Dignity, righteousness, and the way to overcome difficulties are lessons that children carry with them. Perhaps this is one of the greatest gifts we can offer to future generations.
