The selfless surrender of the work with the children came with this luminous idea in my heart: taking care of the children, just like the forest takes care of it: all together. The next challenge was to understand my role as an educator, instructor or counselor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are the ways of guiding, educating and conceiving human beings on the planet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The purpose of instruction is to transfer knowledge and experience. It is based on learning methods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Education, in turn, aims to facilitate the awakening of faculties that are latent in an individual, and involves physical, emotional, intellectual, moral and spiritual aspects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as a seed stores all the information in a tree, there are those who say that everything we know is already stored in our homo sapiens genes, which date back 300,000 years and, therefore, nothing can be taught: everything is already stored as a potential to express itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What would be my role as an educator? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I thought on \"giving a hand\", creating an environment for the latent faculties to be potentiated and manifested. A playful space outdoors, where mothers, fathers, caregivers and children can also recognize and wnjoy their role as trainers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
First step, putting ourselves in the position of apprentice and also masters. We are all students of everyone, we are all masters at some point in life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first person to whom I am grateful is Livia del Corso. Since high school, telling me about countless education proposals around the world, making me question about special education, multiserious education, ways of playing or looking at the world. She told me once about really fun ways to learn to draw: for example, instead of drawing a mouth, why not ask a child: what would a wet kiss look like? Or else, a sad kiss? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was the first to guide me and Kaliah on a pedagogical sequence that involved playing. Playing as a form of investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paola Castro, with all her experience in countless schools, brought sensory games and all her experience with early childhood education into practice. They were cardboard boxes, giant bird wings, playful spaces more than toys. After all, play spaces more children play together. Despite loving its playful spaces, I think what I learned the most from Pao was teaching music and magic to a baby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Debora Marcussi, great mother. It was the first reference to school education I ever saw, and her 11-year-old daughter, Rita, is one of the most incredible beings I've ever met. Every time I went to her house, I saw Debora patiently sitting next to Rita, conducting teaching on Anatomy, Science or Culture in the most diverse ways, bringing through dynamics, dances, cooking, movies, visits, crochet, dolls, museums, the teachings for Rita. In their house, always behind the door, there is a low table, a coffee table and, on that table, a book, always very suitable for some moment in my life. Before becoming pregnant, it was through them that I saw Alex Grey's book, the expression in painting of the entire cosmic web, where the painting of a woman giving birth to \u201cenergy\u201d really impressed me. At other events, an answer about tarot or about witchcraft would appear to me in an equally magical way on the coffee table in her house. Marcelo Amazonas, Rita's father, is very enchanted by vibrations. A few years ago, he told me about musical vibrations and some way of visualizing how harmonics behaved in a drawing. The last few times, it was the vibrations of the water that he was enchanted with. And in one way or another, he passed on to Rita, with great enthusiasm, his recent learnings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After a few years planning this event, finally in November, we had the first meeting of parents and children here in P\u00e9 de Serra and Barroc\u00e3o and, last weekend, the first recreation and arts activity. At the first parents' meeting, there were Debora, Marcelo, Dona Ceridalva - the most generous neighbor I know, Anelita - Maicon's mother, expert in crochet, massage, Maria's wounds, Anelita knew how to cure them with a few herbs; Craudiana- mother of Igor; Gabriel \u2013 a young man from Rio de Janeiro, 27 years old, very kind, humble, sweet and courageous, has been working hard in his field for a year to harvest that cocoa bean\u2026. \u201cexquisite\u201d. Where you can feel the love and constant work to achieve this result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We've shared our dreams as parents and also the concerns, directions that each one wanted to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Debora asked me at the end of the meeting how I felt. I realized that like a jungle, which takes so many years to grow, but it is constant and continuous... that the work here would be like this. Little grain by little grain, little by little. With persistence and continuity. Without giving up for a moment. Like a trunk of a tree, which gives structure, withstands windstorms, the leaves growing and re-growing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the last meeting, more mothers and children came. Mariete, Pietro's mother, has a natural gift for education and helped a lot in the first meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The activity was simple: recognizing trunks, branches, flowers in nature and then putting together artistic arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Art has this power: the power to create and bring order and harmony into matter. Through art, we can recognize ourselves as creators, and making beauty <\/p>\n\n\n\n Inviting children to look for objects in nature is an invitation to take a closer look at the beauty that surrounds them every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n And it was like that, playing with colors and making art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Little by little, arms open, the first step was taken. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/portalmaemirra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1F9C0F68-1E43-470F-BE21-D074425269EC.jpeg?resize=750%2C563&ssl=1\")
